Back by popular demand! This introductory workshop covers taiko basics, hitting techniques, traditional kata (movement) and the history of taiko as a cultural art. Everyone gets to play. Everyone gets to make noise! No bachi (drum sticks) or previous experience necessary and we welcome those who have taken our beginner workshops previously. Just bring your energy and taiko spirit to the Midwest Buddhist Temple on Thursday September 7 starting at 7:00 pm.
When: September 7 – 7:00-9:00pm
Where: Midwest Buddhist Temple (Parking lot behind the temple at the intersection of W. Willow St. and Hudson)
Registration Required: the workshop is now full
Experience: no taiko or musical experience required
