DESCRIPTION:  \nSponsored by: Midwest Buddhist Temple\nDate: Saturday September 29\, 2018\nTime: 7:00 – 9:00 PM\nLocation: Midwest Buddhist Temple\nCost: $15 Advance Sales (eventbrite) \nNo-No Boy creates an immersive experience which shines a light on diverse but interconnected histories: WWII Japanese Incarceration\, southeast Asian refugees\, and kids in middle-America making sense of hyphenated identities. \nInspired by his doctoral research at Brown University\, as well as his experiences growing up as the son of a Vietnamese refugee in Tennessee\, ​singer/songwriter Julian ​Saporiti’s original songs are performed against a backdrop of projections displaying archival photographs and films. Saporiti is​ joined on stage by singer Erin Aoyama\, a fellow Brown PhD student whose grandmother was incarcerated in a Japanese-American concentration camp. \nHo Etsu Taiko is once again thrilled to perform as guests of No-No Boy at their concert.   \nLearn more about No-No Boy
