Ho Etsu got its start as a youth drumming group at MBT\, and we remain gratefully and inextricably linked with the Temple community. DESCRIPTION:Ho Etsu Taiko of Chicago and Yuta Sumiyoshi of world-renowned Kodo of Japan will play a free Japanese drumming show. \nThe performance and workshop are part of a free Japanese Culture Fair that’s open to the public. This event is co-sponsored by the Office of the Consulate General of Japan and Ho Etsu Taiko and made possible by a grant from The Japan Foundation\, New York / Center for Global Partnership. The Japanese Cultural Fair will take place on December 11 at the Whitney M. He entered the Kodo Apprentice Centre in 2010 and became a Kodo member in 2013. Despite being a newcomer\, he was selected for important soloist positions from his very first tour\, including the coveted role of O-daiko.
