If it’s August in Chicago that means Ho Etsu is taking part in the annual Ginza Holiday Festival. The Midwest Buddhist Temple (our rehearsal and workshop home) has been sponsoring this celebration of Japanese culture for over 63 years. We not only enjoy performing and mingling with guests but we’re also happy to help out with everything from setting up the stage and booths, helping with food preparation, volunteering at the gates and even cleaning up after the event. Ginza is always a highlight of our summer season. Enjoy these photos of our performances taken by our friend and amazing photographer, Andrew Tse. Also, a shout-out to MBT Taiko and members of Kogen Taiko who performed with us on several pieces.
