Thank you Ginza 2015!
The mega smiles in this picture say it all – we had a great time at Ginza this year! The crowds were awesome, the chicken was delicious, and we only broke one pair of bachi. Not too shabby. Many thanks to the Midwest Buddhist Temple for hosting us. We’re already looking forward to next year.

Anderson Garden Summer Festival
Ho Etsu visits Anderson Gardens on August 22 and 23rd for their annual Japanese Summer Festival.
This is one of our favorite shows to play, and we will be joined again this year by Japanese calligrapher Seiran Chiba. Her art and message of peace consistently inspires our playing.

This October, Ho Etsu is joined by Grammy-nominated On Ensemble for ROTATIONS, a concert that pushes the boundaries of what taiko can become while honoring the places it has been.
On Ensemble is a taiko-centered world music group based in Los Angeles. The group has made a name for itself by infusing the powerful rhythms of taiko with overtone singing, odd meter grooves and soaring melodies. Peep their song ‘After Rain‘ to get a sneak peak of what’s in store.
